How to crop an image
Upload the image, adjust the crop area or dimensions using the available controls, and preview the result. Keep the important subject inside the selected area. If the image is intended for a profile or thumbnail, check the crop at the final display size before downloading.
Choose a useful aspect ratio
A square crop works for many profile images, while landscape and portrait crops suit different layouts. Cropping removes pixels outside the selected area; it does not simply shrink the full image. Save a copy of the original before making a crop you may want to revise.
Avoid cutting off important details
Leave a little space around faces, text, and other key subjects. Check the edges carefully and consider how the destination platform may crop the image again. The best crop depends on where the image will be displayed.
